Haji Ali history reveals that it was constructed in 1431 in the memory of “Peer Haji Ali Shah Bukhari” who devoted his entire life in spreading spirituality and knowledge about Islam to the masses.
As per the “Rivayat” (Legends) that someday Peer Haji Ali Shah Bukhari was busy in his prayers when a lady passed by from there crying and screaming. When the Saint asked for the reason, she pointed to an empty vessel in her hand and said that she had dropped some oil. If she goes home with that empty vessel her husband would beat her. The Saint took the vessel from the lady and pushed the earth with his thumb, the oil came out like a fountain, and the vessel got filled. The saint gave her that vessel with oil and she went away happily. This is where Haji Ali Ki Dargah presently situated.
There is another myth about this place that at the present mosque place, Haji Ali was found dead. In his remembrance, this mosque was built up.

The tomb has been covered with brocaded red & green chaddar. It has a silver frame supported by marble pillars. For ladies and gents, there are different rooms for meditation and prayers.
